I can’t remember the last time I sent out one of these. I had a lot of changes happen in just a span of a few months last year and I am still healing and adjusting. I still hosted Chimera Open Mic at Phoenix and still played with my band, but I needed to turn off for a while with everything else.
I have recently gotten back into crafting again and I am doing my first pop-ups since the holidays! There will be bag charms, jewelry, stickers and more!
The pop-up at the park will be my last time selling art as Phoenix Curiosities. I feel that it’s time for me to emerge as a new creature. Stay tuned!
Chimera Open Mic will be returning on Aug 13. Come and read your works of poetry or fiction in the whimsical Phoenix Books or just come to enjoy hearing some local writers read their pieces!
And my band Skullgorg is still kicking! We will be playing a clown themed party show at Barfly on August 8 with local grunge band Ace+one, Boston drag punk band Marianne Toilet and the Runs, and horror punk rock ‘n roll band Screaming Demons. I also have the honor of filling in for the Demon’s singer that night, so I’ll be singing 2 sets! There will also be a drag performance from Nyx Tamere.
We are also performing in NDG Park on August 16! Show starts at 6 pm. Hopefully I will have more details soon!
